I'll have to keep an eye out on the Ikea site for the rail stuff. I just think it looks so cool and is obviously functional (and in a place where space is at a premium, might as well build up instead of out, right?).

As for the FLOR...what's the texture like? Is it at all "officey"? That's my concern - that I'd put the stuff down and it'd look and feel like office carpet.

I can see that yours doesn't look like office carpet, but the texture is hard to interpret in photographs.

The FLOR website shows several area rugs, which makes me wonder about the edge finish on the tile. Are there some that are finished on the edge, like a rug would be? Any idea how that works?

The stuff is just so cool, I think. We've been wanting to get a rug (or two) for our floors (hardwood), but find ourselves turned off by the Persian style rugs, and we don't want sisal, and well, it's just hard. But FLOR looks like it could be damn cool.
