No. I do not care if you’ve written 11 books. I don’t care that you’re running a multi-million dollar company. I don’t care that you own a private island. I don’t care that you speak three languages. The damn rules say that you have to submit GRE scores when applying. So take the damn test! You don’t want to take it? Fine. Go sit on your island and leave me alone.

Too friggin funny. Lindsay, don't you realize that some people are above the rules?!?

I must have missed that memo.

LMAO! "Go sit on your island and leave me alone."

Martha Stewart came to mind when I read that. If only she had followed the rules ....

They were talking about her on the radio this morning. Someone dug up an old interview she gave a few years ago. She had been asked what the number one trait was that she disliked in other people. Her answer was, "Dishonesty." ????

Soon her number one answer will be "people who try to make me their prison bitch."

You're on a roll today!

[identity profile] notjustamommy.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:32 am (UTC)(link)
LMAO! No kidding!

[identity profile] phenway.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
I would like an island of my own. But I promise I wouldn't bother you once I was there, L.

[identity profile] ves-heill.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
In that case, whoo-hoo! Party on Phenny's island!

[identity profile] phenway.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:36 am (UTC)(link)
HOLD UP. Who said you could come party on my island???

[identity profile] ves-heill.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:37 am (UTC)(link)
::sniff, sniff::

Well, fine then. Be that way.

And go take the damn GREs.

[identity profile] phenway.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:41 am (UTC)(link)
No, I can't turn people away from the island. After all, I could spend all day saying "no! it's my island! you can't come!" and then get home and find out that Tom has invited everyone over to the island, even people he doesn't like. And THEN don't I look like a jerk?

So maybe I should just have an open-door policy on my island. But we need rules. Like "bring Phenny Krispy Kremes" and "replace the damn toilet paper roll when you use the last of it" ... stuff like that.

[Speaking of toilet paper, is it me or is it weird that TWICE YESTERDAY I found myself in the unpleasant situation of having an empty roll of toilet paper staring at me? *in my own house* no less. And I'm bringing two more males into this house??? I'm crazy.)

Okay, that's it. Here's a rule for the island: NO BOYS.

[identity profile] phenway.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
They really are.

but they are good at carrying heavy things. Hmmm...maybe boys who carry heavy things should be allowed? Oh my goodness, I am not very good at being in charge of this island.

[On a total side note, Phen, because I've been so wrapped up in my own life (what's new?), I completely missed the news that you found out you're having two boys! Congrats!! What wonderful news. :)]

[identity profile] brendaboo.livejournal.com 2004-03-10 11:47 am (UTC)(link)
No! No boys, they have cotties and are icky. Besides, their feet smell bad. I'll help you carry things if you will keep the no boys rule.
