I just accepted the job offer!
Feb. 19th, 2004 08:37 amTurns out C decided not to hire anyone until May (Gah.), so I just accepted the job offer I got last week.
Now I need to work on my resignation letter for here, and give that to Y this morning. As it turns out, future supervisor/Dean P already had spoken to current Y, and told him she was going to be offering me the position, so at least Y already knows I was considering it. And what's really wonderful? Y was very generous when talking to P and told her how wonderful I was and what a good job I'd do for them (my ego? Yes, it was stroked, thankssomuch).
I'm going to give three weeks notice, which means I'll be starting at the new place on March 15, which is the first day of the students' Spring break. I'll have a light first week, at least.
I'm a very lucky person these days.
