The "Munchausen by Internet" fallout
Jun. 11th, 2004 12:42 pmSometimes I get fed up. And I feel taken advantage of. And I want to lash out at whomever I feel was the culprit. And it makes me want to harden my shell and crawl into an insular ProtectLindsay world.
But ProtectLindsay worlds don’t allow for Wonderful Internet-met Friends. And Wonderful Internet-met Friends have provided me with lots of laughter, advice, and a great many shoulders to lean on.
It comes down to choosing the safety and security of the known, or the risk of the unknown. It’s also a choice of pessimism or optimism. Or even the dark versus the light.
I choose the light.
