Lindsay's work is just going to love her...

...because I'm taking a sick day tomorrow. I've got to - I'm fairly certain that I have the flu, and I don't want to infect everyone else. I do feel badly, though, since I haven't actually been at work since the 26th or 27th of October. Not as badly as I feel with this flu, mind you. It's kicking my ass. I spent the majority of the day right here on my couch lying with the cat and feigning to watch the commentaries to Star Wars Eps 1-3 while actually trying to squeeze in some catnaps. Didn't help. I still feel rotten.

It's sooo good to have Scout back again. We missed her while we were travelling. It seems as though she missed us, too, since she's been far more affectionate since bringing her home than she usually is. I am especially glad to cuddle with her since my mother accidentaly let her outside earlier in the day when we came to retrieve her. Had we not shown up and went searching for her soon after she got out I have doubts as to whether we would have found her still playing in the dirt in the yard. Ah, well, in my emergency run to Target this morning (having no tissues on hand is a bad, bad thing these days) I picked up a harness for her so I can take her out sometimes. Maybe that will satiate her desire to romp outdoors.
