Jan. 4th, 2006 10:17 amYesterday I got on the scale for the first time in a few weeks (since coming back from vacation?) and decided that while things aren't exactly spiraling into hell, some more restraint and more movement is definitely in order. I vowed to start using our elliptical machine more, to start things off.
I was talking to my boss, P, about her work-out habits yesterday and she mentioned that unless she commits to getting up early to exercise before getting ready for the day she won't manage to fit it into her schedule and she won't work out that day. I mulled it over, realizing that it was probably true, and decided to make the supreme sacrifice of sleeping less in order to get up early this morning and work out. I set out my workout clothes in advance, got to bed early, and set the alarm for 6 (normally I get up at 7). I woke up refreshed and actually excited (!) about the prospect of exercising, when I looked at the clock and saw the time.
6:58 am.
I'd accidentally set the alarm for 6 pm.
So typical.
