a mini-break

lindsaydotcomThe roughly two week absence was due almost in whole to a shocking amount of busyness. You know how the Native Alaskans have 20 different words for snow? There should easily be as many for Busy and Tired.
Like today. Today would rank as somewhere along the lines of 12/20 in terms of busy and 15/20 in terms of tired. I could explain, but suffice it to say that work is a bear right now, I haven't vacuumed in weeks, the fridge is almost out of food, and I have to buy three gifts tonight (1 wedding, two b-day - none of which I have a clue of what to buy), and I'm supposed to be making two 11-inch lemon tortes that I have to buy stuff for. Woo!
But on the upside, even though it's all kinds of hot here, it's 130 degrees in Iraq. And Tom Petty's on the radio. The day can't be all bad.
