1. We ripped up our kitchen last week and over the weekend – we pulled out our tile countertops; removed our range and oven (it's a freestanding unit); removed the sink, faucet, and garbage disposal; and set up our refrigerator on the other side of the room, in the eat-in part of the kitchen. Whew. It was hard, but I'm happy we did it. Because we just had the measurements done for our new Zodiaq. Hurrah! Sadly, though, until they actually come in and fit the pieces we have to live without a functioning kitchen. We can cook in a limited fashion (microwave), but we can't wash anything with. We're eating off of paper plates, plastic utensils, and eating mostly pre-prepared food for the next couple of weeks. Ah well, small price to pay.

2. I joined Curves yesterday (much to the chagrin of the NWCC thread supporters). There's a gal at work who goes everyday during lunches, and she's literally lost 50 pounds while going to Curves. It's been amazing to watch. She took me once for a free trial, and I loved it, but I didn't have any money. But thanks to some b-day cash (thanks Mom! Thanks GFIL!) I was able to join up for our local center's student summer deal. It's four months, and no contract, so it sounded great. I've gone both of the last two days and I'm going again during lunch today. The goal is to go at least four days a week, preferably five. Then again, it's my third day only. Ask me again next week.

3. My first summer class starts tonight. There are no books in the bookstore for me to buy, so I wonder if I'm going to get hit up for a huge reading packet in class tonight. Class is from 4pm until 10pm. Oy. And I still haven't gotten my grades from the Spring yet. Double Oy.

4. No vacation plans as of yet. Thinking it's going to be pushed back yet again until this fall. Maybe we can take a third anniversary trip or something? L in my office is going to Jamaica for her third this summer. She makes us look bad.

5. We went to see Ben Kweller on Saturday night at the Anaheim House of Blues. Dang, that boy can sing. And play the guitar. And write fun lyrics. And he has fanatical fans. My hope is to try and catch him when he tours in the fall again. I guess that makes me a fanatical fan.

Life is busy. But good.

Why do different muscles hurt each time I workout? You'd think the same muscle groups would hurt each day, since that would mean those groups aren't fit, but that's not the case. Monday my thighs hurt. Yesterday the backs of my calves were sore, buy my thighs were fine. Now my shoulders are sore-ish, but my calves are fine. It's the mysterious floating unfit muscle group. I single-handedly defy modern medical logic.
