Where should I go in Boston?

Hey ladies,

Anyone have ideas for how to spend a fun evening in Boston? I'll be traveling there next week for a conference and I'll have a couple of evenings free to wander around. I got me a corporate credit card [ ;) ] and a couple girlfriends I'll be there with, so I'm just looking for suggestions of what to check out. I've been there a couple of times, but never as an adult and never without a car (we're staying in downtown).

Ideas, anyone?

Hey, you! Well, I'm going to a conference for part of the week (I think I worte about it a few weeks ago in here? Don't really remember), so while I'd LOVE to go down (up? sideways? I should know this, but geography is not my forte) to see you and others, I won't have the time. :( Conference runs from Wednesday to Saturday... and I'll be there from Wednesday to Saturday.
