lindsaydotcomSo, just out of curiosity I got on the scale today just prior to using the restroom. The scale (digital with body fat readout) gave me a readout of XXX.4. M'kay. It's roughly what I figured it would be. After using the restroom I hopped on the scale again* and this time it gave me a figure of XXX.8 pounds. And just to be clear, since I'm doing the X thing, given this is a public post and all, the scale said I GAINED 0.4 pounds between the minute or so interval which involved me doing as nature intended.
Not once. Not twice, but THREE separate time the scale told me I gained 0.4 pounds by using the restroom.
I'd like to take a moment and say the following: THE HELL?!?
Surely this deserves papal notice.
* No, I'm not OCD about my weight, but I am trying to get a baseline of my body fat percentage, and I'm having a heck of a time doing it - the darn figure seems to change whenever someone so much as sneezes.

Date: 2004-06-30 05:11 pm (UTC)Looks like you got stuck with a screwy scale. One thing I've learned is to only use one scale. I don't care if it's right or wrong. I just want to monitor the changes being made. When you start messing with other scales you get all kinds of weird things happening.
