Busy next few weeks

This class ends next Wednesday. Before that time a classmate and I have to whip up a group presentation on issues related to access to higher education for American Indians. Don't have a clue how that's going to get done. I'm procrastinating. It's evident, and I don't care. I'm tired of school. After that I've got to revise my previously written paper and that will finish off this class. Not even a week off between this class and the start of the next semester.

But it's okay, because my Hadley is visiting from London! I'm taking off Wednesday, September 1st to go off and play with her, she'll stay over that night and I'll bring her to the airport on Thursday to catch a plane up to S.F. for Marisa's wedding. Damn. I had really wanted to attend that one.

But I'll be able to keep myself busy and not thinking of it, since the trip to New York is definitely on! I spoke to my mom this morning and she said that the tickets were booked so that we leave the morning of Wednesday, September 8th out of LAX (ugh. I hate LAX. Why not Ontario? Orange County? Long Beach? Burbank?) and we'll return on Monday the 13th. It's basically a week we'll be there, but I won't have to miss my Tuesday class. Still hoping to meet up with Marie, Jenn, and Sandie while I'm there. And I REALLY want to go to ABC Carpets while I'm there, too.

And then I've got a grand total of 1 week between the time I get back and the start of recruiting season, and two days past that to when I leave on my first recruiting trip. This one's up to Chico and Reno (at least were staying in a resort - the SIlver Legacy, anyone know it?). And then the REAL recruiting begins.

Work on the house is sort of at a hiatus. Between my school stuff and B's studying stuff, and some family stuff or other every weekend (seems like), there's just not much time to get anything done. :(

Darn. Darn. Darn. We're all going to the Toronto Film Festival *precisely* those days, 9/9-9/13. Unless you're not too jet-lagged to visit your first day here, I don't think we can see you.

Oh, what a bummer!

I dout that's likely to happen, unfortunately - I'm not certain when we're arriving, exactly, but my family is picking us up and I think the plan is to go out to eat and catch up.

Doesn't it just figure?!? Ah, well. Next time, I guess. :(
