At about this time I'm going to plead forgiveness. I haven't gone back past this morning and checked everyone's friends' entries for the last week, and I'm not going to, either. Kittens, I'm trying hard just to stay above water right now what with school and work and the house. It's hard. I'm tired. I need a break... Which is somewhat ironic, since I just took a week-long break, right? I think the break slowed me down enough so that I could look around and realize that my every-day existence at this point is wearing me down. Because that's what happening. I saw that I literally can not keep up the work-load I'm doing. Just. so. tired. already, and recruiting season starts next week.

Option 1: Get up early, find my travel plans/parking tickets/driving directions for the day, get on the road early because driving here sucks if you have to go anywhere close to downtown, spend an hour or two traveling to get to the grad fair, try to find parking, schlep my rolling luggage cart chock full of info for a quarter of a mile or so while somehow also balancing my purse, a large tri-fold table display, and the table banner. Find the check-in, go seek out coffee (mind you, I generally don't touch coffee, as it completely rips up my stomach. When I'm recruiting it's a necessity, though), come back and spend the next hour getting my table ready. The fair starts - I spend the next four to five hours standing, smiling, talking, drawing people over to my tables, assisting with information on the university, getting them to fill out info cards. I'm good at this, and I generally have a line at my table for the whole time. If I'm lucky I'll get a quick minute to run to the ladies room, which I have to find. Public restroom with freshman college girls - woo! Then back to my table for more standing/talking, etc. They'll either come and provide us with a box lunch (Turkey sandwich! On a roll! With a side of pasta salad! With an apple! With a cookies! And a soda! Every day!) or I'll go grab a similar box lunch near the recruiter's table. I'll grab bites between students coming by, and if I'm lucky I'll finish my lunch somewhere right about the time the fair is ending. Then it's reloading up my luggage with remaining stuff, and schlepping the whole kit and caboodle back to my car for another hour to two hour drive back. And then go home, do schoolwork until B comes home, cook dinner, eat somewhere around 8:30 or 9:00, and fall asleep while watch a movie after dinner.

Option 2: Get up and go to work for the day, where there will undoubtedly be piles of things waiting for me, since I've been out of the office the past several days recruiting. Mad scramble to get it all done in the day and to leave detailed lists for my assistant to do while I'm gone again. Eat lunch most of the time at my desk while responding to work emails. If I'm lucky we'll have food stuffs in the house and I won't have to go to the store, otherwise I stop on the way home and buy groceries. Go home, do schoolwork until B comes home, cook dinner, eat somewhere around 8:30 or 9:00, and fall asleep while watch a movie after dinner.

Oh well. Only three more months to go before I'm done with classwork, right? That's only another 6 mental breakdowns or so... I can do this.

New York recap coming up!
